How to Measure Shadows?

Yeah, man, that's a tough one.

There are "light sensitivity" meters in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. Some can log data and be mounted, two things that any serious investigator would consider important.

But how exactly to go about MEASURING FOR SHADOWS, and how to control?

Searches come up with everything but the answers we seek. All due respect to science, we don't need to read ten articles reassuring everyone that shadows are inert. We believe you. We just want to REPLICATE that. [VOCABULARY TERM: "SEA LION-ING"]

So therefore,

If we take a particular room and eliminate all outside light, and control all inside light, and record all movement from different perspectives, then theoretically, shouldn't the (light levels) in the room stay constant if the room was unoccupied? Under those conditions, what kind of sensor would best suit the purpose of measuring (light levels) in a room? (Preferably with data logging.) [VOCABULARY TERM: "JUST ASKING QUESTIONS"]

We're going to reserve advice on this topic until we can get some expert opinions, or otherwise figure it out. (Shouldn't be too long.)

(Meanwhile, make sure your air quality and infra-sound levels are good.)

VOCABULARY TERM: "SEA LION-ING"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealioning
"Sealioning (also spelled sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with persistent requests for evidence or repeated questions, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity."

VOCABULARY TERM: "JUST ASKING QUESTIONS"
https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Just_asking_questions
"Just asking questions (also known as JAQing off) is a way of attempting to make wild accusations acceptable (and hopefully not legally actionable) by framing them as questions rather than statements."

TIPS FOR POLLS: Polls appear on some topics, if the post's author has created one. They're open to ALL registered users. All APP-written polls are set to be ongoing and allow you to change your vote later. Feel free to comment your suggestions for improving any poll, ours or others', just be kind and helpful.

CREATING A POLL: When writing any post (not comment replies) the option for "Poll Creation" is in a tab below the "submit" button. You can always edit the poll later via editing the post itself and navigating back to that tab, but that sort of defeats the purpose if you change it after people have answered, right? To start, try to think through the answers and provide an option for all likely points-of-view. Lastly, the poll will display below the post after it's published. In "preview" mode it shows on top.
