Primary Research or Secondary Research? Original?

Post by Aster-P »

Primary research is when it's your own new original study. Secondary research is when you study some research that was already done by someone else, not for replication but to find new information in that older study.

APP's Study #1 did original research on a pre-made data set. We didn't create the original paranormal reports (rather, we didn't solicit these reports).

So would that make our Study #1 primary or secondary? Should it be considered original research?

Is APP's Study #1 primary or secondary research? Can it be considered original?

It's primary and original.
