Step by Step Debunking Guide Book

Basic Debunking

Using best practices uncovered in the methodology panels, we expect to publish a step-by-step guide book for basic debunking. Leading experts are invited to participate, of course with due credit for their contributions.

The paranormal contains many fundamentally different facets including the most commonly reported: disturbances in the home, ESP, shadows, and menacing wild creatures outdoors. Each of these facets will be explored to determine all the ways such a claim might interface with natural laws, and respectively how to measure reported interactions.

A preliminary structure for debunking the most popular claim, disturbances in the home, is displayed in our Debunking Help forums. Initially this information arises from cited reference material. Later, recommendations from our own Methodology Panels will be incorporated.

By Winter 2021 we expect to have significant progress on this work.

Debunking is more than guessing what might be going on. APP sees the goal of debunking as finding out what is going on. That requires measurement of the environment. To be used with the SxS Guide Book is the future PS APParatus, a proprietary device for the purpose of measuring a micro-environment.
