Don't Be Mad, Pick an Avatar

Remember when people were chill? (Relatively!) The last few years, everyone seems on edge.

When you come here, don't be mad.

Skeptics might rip this project to shreds, saying our science is all wrong and we should "close up and go home." Paranormal believers might say we're useless right now, providing no real help in our early stage. And paranormal investigators? What will they think? Will they be upset that we've come on the scene to change things?

Don't be mad, please. Let's concentrate on the good. Skeptics, APP Study #1 shows that people are open to skepticism. C'mon and school us in the METHODOLOGY FORUMS. Believers, give the Skeptics something to chew on. Share your experiences in the PARANORMAL LIBRARY. Investigators, we want to assist you, not take over. Help us shape the APP COURSES.

So don't be mad. Pick an avatar. I picked my badass cat, Roofus. He rode with me for quite a while.

Then one week he decided he didn't want to go back to the truck. Time to leave and he ran under the bed but close enough to still make eye contact. I asked if he was sure, because I had to go. He would only stare at me from under the bed. So I let him stay home, but I called everyday to say hello on speakerphone. He'd get excited and nudge the phone. So damn cute! ... You know, I only took him in the truck because he was so small when I found him (abandoned). And when it came time to get in the truck (for five days at a time) I didn't feel right abandoning him (again) like that. He wouldn't understand me going away. So at that time I just packed him up, and his gear, and away we went. (From Michigan to Oklahoma, via Fort Worth, and back every week.) It was cool. He would go NUTS at the windshield wipers! Hahaha!! I used to have a video. But yeah it was cool... until our air conditioning broke. We spent the summer of hell trying to get it fixed. Nope never did. Summer. Of. Hell, I tell you. You can't imagine the heat pouring in at 120* at my feet constantly from the engine, 100* summer days with the sun turning the truck into an oven, and muggy, buggy Arkansas. A few times I genuinely thought I was gonna die. But I didn't. I survived to create this project.

Our first ride in the truck. He was about two weeks old. I'd had him for a few days.

So grab your own favorite pic... and make an avatar for yourself, min 20x20 max 90x90, because we hope to see a lot more of you around these parts. (And don't forget, you can pick a signature too.) (Yes, I like my Freight-shakers.)

But most of all, please share your experiences and your expertise!

You just got PASSED, by a girl in a Freightliner!
